Biography

Jonathan is an associate general counsel focusing on litigation, education law, and employment law. Prior to joining the Office of the General Counsel, Jonathan was a partner at Strickland Brockington Lewis, LLP heading its education and employment practices. He received his undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Georgia, and earned his J.D. cum laude from the Georgia State University College of Law, where he was on the Georgia State University Law Review. Jonathan has served as the Chair of the School and College Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia and is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys. He is also a member of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia. Jonathan has spoken at numerous education and employment law related programs, as well as published materials regarding education and employment law matters. He was selected for inclusion in the 2010-2018 Georgia SuperLawyer Rising Stars list by Atlanta Magazine.
