Biography

Bekah serves as Associate General Counsel with a focus on employment and labor matters. Before joining Emory’s Office of the General Counsel, Bekah was Litigation & Employment Counsel for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, where she managed litigation and provided strategic legal guidance on labor, employment, youth accommodations, and safety matters to senior management, national staff, and local organizations across the country. Earlier in her career, Bekah spent more than a decade in private practice with Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, representing employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. She also served as Of Counsel with Tanya Andrews Tate & Associates, concentrating on employment and commercial litigation. Bekah began her legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable William C. O’Kelley of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia in Atlanta. She earned her Juris Doctor with honors from Emory University School of Law, where she was a Notes and Comments Editor for the Emory Law Journal and a member of the Order of the Coif. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida. Bekah is a member of both the State Bar of Georgia and The Florida Bar. She has presented on employment law and other legal topics at a State Bar of Georgia CLE program and at multiple human resources conferences and programs.
