Biography
A graduate of Howard University and Georgetown University Law Center, Michelle has served as Assistant General Counsel of Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. for the last eight years, advancing the goals of one of the most transformative urban redevelopment projects in the country. In this role, she advised the Beltline’s real estate team and senior leadership concerning a large variety of commercial acquisitions, land use deals, professional services agreements, and construction contracts, as well as corporate matters. Prior to her tenure with the Beltline, she served as Senior Assistant County Attorney with the DeKalb County Law Department for more than eleven years. Her work in this role included serving as real estate counsel for greenspace acquisition and public works construction projects for the county and drafting construction, service, and property lease agreements. She also served in a similar position with the City of Atlanta’s Law Department prior to joining Dekalb County.
